On our way home from Christmas with my family we stopped at a rest area and when Jeff came out he heard the truck making a banging noise. At first he thought it was the motor and so called his Dad who headed out to get us. Actually they were bringing their truck and car so they could haul the heavy stuff we had on the back of the truck and then the car was so the boys and I would have a way home. After we called them we discovered that my Uncle Dave and Aunt Cella lived not far from where we were so we gave them a call and Uncle Dave came to see if there was anything he could do. It ended up that it was not the motor and was just the Alternator. They were able to fix it that night, but seeing as it was so late by the time it got fixed they offered to let us stay the night. We called Jeff's parents so they didn't come all the way and they were able to go back home. I feel bad that they had to come as far as they did though. We really enjoyed getting to see my Aunt and Uncle again and also I got to see my cousin that I hadn't seen in a very long time (probably 10-12 years). It was really nice to spend some time with them although I would have enjoyed it more if it would have been under different circumstances. All in all we did have a great Christmas.
